Uncertainty Is Not the Same as Risk
Many of the most important things human beings do in life, do not come with completely predictable outcomes.
In most decisions in life, we do not know exactly what will happen. That is called uncertainty. But uncertainty does not necessarily mean high risk.
Sometimes it simply means that the future may not unfold exactly according to the picture we created in our minds beforehand.
The human mind craves certainty. We want to know the outcome before we begin, guarantee success, and see the future as fully predictable.
But real life does not work that way. Imagine a student applying to several universities. They do not know exactly which university will accept them. That is uncertainty. But if they apply to schools that realistically match their qualifications, the probability of being rejected everywhere may actually be quite low. So the real issue is not necessarily the risk of total failure, but the uncertainty of the exact outcome.
The same principle exists in relationships, business, investing, art, and even personal growth. When you speak to one hundred people, you cannot predict exactly which individuals will connect with your words. But that does not mean the effort itself is meaningless.
