Risk: Something Humanity Lived With for Thousands of Years Without Truly Understanding

For thousands of years, human beings took risks. They gambled, traveled, invested, and made life-changing decisions without truly understanding what “risk” was or how it could be measured.

For centuries, luck and fate controlled a large part of human decision-making. People believed that fortune, destiny, or even unseen forces determined the path between success and failure. But at a certain point in history, something changed dramatically.
